"Just waking up in the morning gotta thank God
I don't know but today seems kinda odd
No barking from the dog, no smog
And momma cooked a breakfast with no hog
I got my grub on, but didn't pig out
Finally got a call from a girl wanna dig out
Hooked it up for later as I hit the do'
Thinking will i live, another twenty-fo'
I gotta go cause I got me a drop top
And if I hit the switch, I can make the ass drop
Had to stop at a red light
Looking in my mirror not a jacker in sight
And everything is alright
I got a beep from Kim and she can *bleep* all night
Called up the homies and I'm askin y'all
Which park, are y'all playin basketball?
Get me on the court and I'm trouble
Last week *bleep* around and got a triple double
Freaking *racist bleep* every way like M.J.
I can't believe, today was a good day
Drove to the pad and hit the showers
Didn't even get no static from the cowards
Cause just yesterday them fools tried to blast me
Saw the police and they rolled right past me
No flexin, didn't even look in a *racist bleep* direction
as I ran the intersection
Went to Short Dog's house, they was watchin YO! MTV Raps
What's the haps on the craps
Shake em up, shake em up, shake em up, shake em
Roll em in a circle of niggaz and watch me break em
With the seven, seven-eleven, seven-eleven
Seven even back do' little Joe
I picked up the cash flow
Then we played bones, and I'm yellin domino
Plus nobody I know got killed in South Central L.A.
Today was a good day
Left my *racist bleep* house paid
Picked up a girl been tryin to do since the twelfth grade
It's ironic, I had the blunt she had the chronic
The Lakers beat the Supersonics
I felt on the big fat fanny
Pulled out the jammy, and killed the punanny
And my *bleep* runs deep, so deep, so deep
put her *bleep* to sleep
Woke her up around one
she didn't hesitate, to call Ice Cube the top gun
Drove her to the pad and I'm coasting
Took another sip of the potion hit the three-wheel motion
I was glad everything had worked out
Dropped her ass off, then I chirped out
Today was like one of those fly dreams
Didn't even see a berry flashing those high beams
No helicopter looking for a murder
Two in the morning got the Fatburger
Even saw the lights of the Goodyear Blimp
And it read Ice Cube's a pimp
Drunk as hell but no throwing up
Half way home and my pager still blowing up
Today I didn't even have to use my A.K.
I got to say it was a good day."
Why, you ask, do I have the lyrics to Ice Cube's Today was a Good Day on here? Because driving to work this morning, this is the song that I got choked up to... Who are you calling hormonal?...or crazy, which ever you prefer!

Baby Blog
I decided this would be a good way to keep everyone in the loop of how things are going. Hopefully I will keep up on it. Just wanted to let you all know it is up and running!
Oh the joys...
Check the time on this blog....should be about 2am or after. I have had the occasional nights that I cannot sleep before I was pregnant, but tonight I have been up for 2 hours with no sleepiness in sight. Maybe it was the Warm Apple Crisp I opted for at a work dinner tonight, or the part in the baby books I have been reading about being tired during the day and not able to sleep at night.
Since I am up...
I am 9 weeks pregnant today. A little update on how the pregnancy is going. For about 4 weeks I have had an extreme food preference. I am not calling it cravings because it is pretty much the opposite. I am trying to find things that sound good at all. This is a constant challenge since I seem to be eating ever 2 of 3 hours. The nausea kicks in when my stomach does not have something on it. I am also finding that anything I have eaten in the past 24 hours will not sound good unless it is bread. Forget even trying to eat left overs...not happening! Hoping that this will only last through the first trimester and that would mean there is only a few weeks left. If not, then oh the joys of being pregnant and oh the weight I will gain with trying to ease my upset and very opinionated stomach.

7 weeks, 1 day and counting...
Today I finally had my first (second first, that is) prenatal appointment. The surreal idea that I have a baby growing inside of me became a reality as I stared at the black and white screen of my insides. There was a tiny peanut (left side of the picture, under the "Z") in the midst of a black hole. The same black hole that appeared to have nothing in it 2 weeks ago when we went in for our first first prenatal visit. As if the appearance of this little bean-shape wasn't enough, the lovely midwife told me to look a little closer to see a small pulsing at one side of the peanut. This pulsing was the baby's heart...pounding away. She then turned off the "mute" button and all of a sudden the pulsing was given sound effects. The sound was exciting and relieving all at the same time. This is the part Erik was waiting for...and I would have to find a way to tell him how amazing it was to hear it. There will definitely be more oppurtunities for him to hear this, but until then, I will not be able to do it justice. It was so fast and strong. The midwife said everything looked great. The baby seemed very healthy and I should just keep on doing what I'm doing. That being eating everything I can to calm my upset stomach. This includes anything starchy, specifically: saltine crackers (we need to buy stock in them), top ramen, macaroni and cheese, potato soup, and bean and cheese burritos. These change on a constant basis. It may be fine at lunch and a few hours later be the most revolting thing I have ever seen. There is no telling what I want until I want it...and I mean NOW! That is all for now... if there is reason for me to actually be consistent with anything and to blog, this little kiddo is it....I will try to keep on it!
